Toner fra havet - Musikalsk portrett av Utsira-komponisten Lennart Lundberg

Den svenske pianisten og komponisten Lennart Lundberg var ikke bare en strålende pianist og tidligere elev hos Chopins favorittelever Camille Dubois og Ignaz Paderewski, men også en sann Utsiravenn! Han trivdes blant folket og han trivdes i naturen som fra 1903 år etter år gav ham inspirasjon til komposisjonene hans. Musikken er også inspirert av Chopin og av årene i det Parisiske kulturlivet. 

Dessverre har musikken blitt glemt, men på denne konserten får dere en smakebit på de flotte og dramatiske pianostykkene som har kommet til ute ved havet på Utsira. Musiker: Marina Johansson.

Munor pianist Marina Johansson presents a musical portrait of the Swedish Utsira composer Lennart Lundberg

Swedish pianist and composer Lennart Lundberg was not only a brilliant pianist who studied with two of Chopin’s favourite pupils, Camille Dubois and Ignaz Paderewski, but also a true friend of Utsira! He felt at home among the islanders and in its natural surroundings, which inspired his compositions year after year from 1903 onwards. His music also bears the influence of Chopin and of the years he spent immersed in Parisian cultural life.

Sadly, Lundberg’s music has largely been forgotten. At this concert, however, you will have the chance to discover a selection of the beautiful and dramatic piano works created out by the sea on Utsira.
